New York, New York!
New York City ventures with Justin and Elise meant exciting times! They're in NYC for the summer while Justin completes an internship in brand management for L'Oreal. He was the only intern chosen from BYU and is really enjoying the work. They're loving their time in the city, too, and Tyler and I were delighted to join the fun. Here are some highlights:

Broadway in the Park
Nothing like chair perching in delightful Bryant Park on a lovely summer day. Now add hundreds of your closest friends and free snippets of Broadway performances. It's a show not to be missed! Each summer Thursday actors/singers/musicians/magicians, etc. who are currently starring in Broadway shows share their talents during a one-hour review. Offerings are different every time.
We were treated to snatches of shows like "Wicked," "Stomp," and "It Shoulda Been You". There were also magic illusions from Penn & Teller. It was fantastic! Definitely got much more than we "paid" for! ;)
To sweeten the deal further, we hit one of our favorites food spots: Wafels & Dinges! Imagine the most luscious, sweet waffle you can picture, add your favorite toppings (like strawberries, bananas, Nutella, speculous, hot fudge, marshmallows, etc.) and dive into deliciousness. Yum!
Happiest of birthdays to Tyler! 21! Wahoo! We celebrated from sun-up to sun-down with a treasure trove of pun puzzles, a Tri Tip sandwich lunch from one of his favorite places, cake at Magnolias, a walking/exploring adventure to Little Brazil (to explore Brazilian treats he was missing and we were anxious to have him share), dinner at Ipanema (scrumptious Brazilian cuisine) and a Broadway show: "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" (a funny, zany stroll of fun)!
What a great way to kick off a new year in style with some of the people who love him most. Ty, make it an amazing year, -- like you! XOX
