So, check this out for a little "elevated" thinking (?!?) . . . floors of buildings are not numbered the way we do it in the U.S. That complicates elevator rides for Americans sometimes!
Typically here the ground floor or street level is "0" with "-1" being quayside (water level) and upper and lower concourses being "-2" and "-3" respectively. In the particular building that has its elevator panel featured in the picture below, "1" is actually the roof garden.
Yup, pretty sure I better take the stairs! ;)
