Letters –Translations of interesting English-isms!

• “My” = “Me”  e.g. “That is me house.”
• Cup of tea = “Cuppa”
• Enthusiastic, affirmative response  =   “Brilliant!” or “Brill!”  “Smashing!” “Jolly Good!”
• “You’ve got to be kidding!” = “Oh, my giddy aunt!”
• “There you have it!” or “There you go!” = “There’s your bob!”



"Busking" in London!

“No Busking” sign posted on a busy walkway.  Wasn’t sure if I was in violation of that or not.  What’s busking?!?  Translation:  “street performances”.  Wildest street performer we’ve seen so far was the tuba player with flames shooting out of the tuba in time to his song!
