Bits and Bobs . . . Navigating the City . . . "Spring"ing into Action . . . Going "Clubbing"

Bits and Bobs . . .

* Navigating the City:  Travel by the tubes, trains and buses here in London is pretty easy -- especially with Google Maps! Still, since I don't seem to have the actual gene for personal navigation -- really, I read there is such a thing that you're born with or you're not! That's my story and I'm sticking to it  ;)  -- I explore in daylight.

I find that for ease and more stress-free transport, I aim to make my solitary ventures by day and get back to the flat before nightfall -- less crowded, more familiar looking areas in the light.  Hooray that the days are getting longer now; it was getting dark by 3:30 or 4!

* "Spring"ing into Action:  The daffodils are already poking their sunny faces out. Seems so early; usually they bloom in the end of March I'm told.  They're pretty and cheery though, so everyone likes it!

* Going "Clubbing":  I joined the AWC (American Women's Club) for expats here in London and am looking forward to lots of opportunities with them to make friends, do service work and further experience the city's offerings.  It'll be a great way to work together with a group and have fun at the same time.  I imagine we'll have some funny "Americans in Britain" tales, as well.  Stay tuned for those!
